Energy Chia Drink

Salvia hispanica, known as Chia, is a blooming plant that belongs to the family Lamiaceae ( mint ).
It is believed to have originated in Central America and southern Mexico , where the seed played an important role in the diet.

Chia contains three times more iron than spinach, 6 times more calcium than milk, fourtimes more antioxidants than blueberries and two times more potassium than bananas.

Energy Chia Fresca

  • 1 and half cup of water
  • 2 fresh lemons (squeezed) or lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey to taste

Mix well the lemonade and the stevia, add chia seeds and stir nicely. Then allow the mixture to rest for 15 minutes. Chia seeds will absorb the water and become like jelly.
